About the Role 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and services that power our platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft and VmWare technologies and a passion for building scalable and resilient systems. 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain a diverse range of servers, operating systems, and software applications to ensure seamless operations and peak performance.  
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. 
  • Implement robust security measures and protocols to safeguard systems and data against unauthorized access, breaches, and potential threats. 
  • Oversee the management of system accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring strict compliance with security policies. 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT, development teams and other stakeholders to implement and support IT projects and strategic initiatives. 
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practices in system administration and IT infrastructure, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge. 

Key Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 4 years of experience in system administration, IT operations, or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems. 
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). 
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. 
  • Knowledge of SCCM, DNS, DFS, PKI, IIS. 
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.). 
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.). 
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Nagios, ELK, Prometheus, etc.). 

Preferred Requirements 

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
