After several serious near-misses in recent years, Skanska saw a need for a weather forecasting service adapted to the processes within their construction projects. Peer Christian Andersen, Director for H&S Skanska Norway, said, “Like many, we have previously used online services and apps, such as YR, and also tested other, more specialized apps. We’ve found they are largely adapted to leisure activities and do not provide the reliability we need. Therefore, we entered into a dialogue with StormGeo in 2020 to look at a solution that is adapted to our needs.”
Andersen continued, “After testing various functionalities on a selection of projects, we have now entered into a collaboration to develop a solution with StormGeo for our building and construction projects.”
